Dear Hornet Families,

One of the most important things we can do to help our students succeed is to make sure they are at school and ready to learn each day. Every day in the classroom matters, and every minute counts! When students are absent, they miss more than just an assignment; they miss valuable instruction, opportunities to participate, and important connections with their classmates and teachers.

We also want to remind families that arriving on time is just as important. Our mornings are filled with important activities, classroom conversations, and learning opportunities that help set the tone for the entire day.
We understand that illnesses and unexpected circumstances happen, and we certainly want our students to stay home when they are sick. However, when students are healthy and able to attend, we encourage families to make school a priority. Establishing consistent bedtime routines, preparing for the next school day the night before, and allowing plenty of time for the morning commute can all help make getting to school on time a little easier.

Families, thank you for partnering with us to make attendance a priority. Our goal is to give every Hornet the opportunity to learn, grow, and reach their full potential, and that starts with being here!

With Hornet Pride,
Jerrica Alligood
 Principal

Important Reminder about Toys!

Reminder: toys are not permitted at school or on the bus. This includes needohs and other fidgets. When toys are brought to school, they get broken, they distract us from learning, and they cause disruptions between students. We ask you to please leave toys at home where they can be enjoyed in a positive manner.
