Hornet Buzz

Week of March 16th, 2026

From the Desk of Mrs. Alligood

Dear Hornet Families,
This is a friendly reminder that our Title I Family Night, “Somewhere Over the Stories,” is happening this Tuesday, March 17, from 5:00–6:30 PM! We hope your family will join us for a magical evening inspired by The Wizard of Oz. The night will include information on how you can help your child at home, fun literacy activities, dinner for families, and an opportunity to visit our Book Fair. It’s a wonderful chance to spend time together while celebrating the joy of reading and learning.

Our Book Fair will be open all week, and students will have the opportunity to shop during the school day. Families may send money in with their child or prepay online for book purchases. Remember The Book Fair will also be open during Title I Night, so families attending the event will have time to browse and shop together.

Registration is required to attend Title I Night. Please remember to scan the QR code included in this newsletter to register your family if you have not already done so.
We look forward to seeing our families follow the yellow brick road to a wonderful evening of stories, learning, and fun!

With gratitude,
Mrs. Alligood
