Dear Hornet Families,
On Wednesday, October 22, we will join schools across the nation in celebrating Unity Day—a day dedicated to bullying prevention. Students and staff are encouraged to wear orange to show that we stand together for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion.
The following week, we will celebrate Red Ribbon Week from Monday, October 27 through Friday, October 31. This year’s theme is “Life is a Puzzle, Solve it Drug Free!” Each day will feature a fun dress-up theme and an important message about making positive, healthy choices:
- Monday: “Be Red-y to live Drug Free!” – Wear Red
- Tuesday: “We don’t need drugs to make us sparkle!” – Wear your Bling
- Wednesday: “Winners choose to be drug free!” – Wear your favorite sports attire
- Thursday: “Swap out drugs for a better life!” – Students dress as teachers and teachers dress as students
- Friday: “A drug-free life is the missing piece to a happy story!” – Dress as your favorite storybook character
Remember all outfits must be school appropriate.
Thank you for supporting these important initiatives at home and helping us teach our students that making positive choices and treating others with kindness are always the best paths to success.
With gratitude,
Mrs. Alligood
Principal
