Dear Hornet Families,
At Hernando Elementary, we believe that recognizing and celebrating positive behavior is an important part of creating a school where every student feels supported, valued, and motivated to succeed. As we wrap up our first quarter, we are excited to celebrate our Hornets who have demonstrated positive choices and followed our schoolwide Hornet Expectations!
Our PBIS Quarter 1 Celebration is an opportunity to recognize students who have worked hard to demonstrate what it means to be a Hernando Hornet. Our Hornet Expectations remind students to Have Respect, Be Responsible, Remember Kindness, and Obey Safety Rules.
Throughout the quarter, we have encouraged students to make good choices, treat others with kindness, follow directions, and contribute to a safe and positive learning environment. This celebration is one way we recognize and reinforce those efforts!
To participate in the Quarter 1 celebration, students must have fewer than three major Focus referrals and no days of Out-of-School Suspension (OSS) during the quarter.
We are proud of our Hornets and the progress they make each day! Thank you for partnering with us to reinforce positive behavior at home and for helping your child understand that their choices matter. Together, we are building a school community where kindness, responsibility, respect, and safety are celebrated.
With Hornet Pride,
Jerrica Alligood
Principal
