Hornet Buzz

Week of February 23rd, 2026

From the Desk of Mrs. Alligood

Dear Hornet Families,
Last Friday we had the pleasure of hosting our NEST Community Day, and it was truly an incredible experience for our students and school community. This special day showcased a wide range of careers and pathways, giving our students the opportunity to learn firsthand about the many possibilities that exist for their futures.

Students were engaged, curious, and inspired as they listened to our guests share their experiences, skills, and journeys. From asking thoughtful questions to making meaningful connections, it was clear how impactful it was for our students to see adults from our community representing such diverse professions.

I would like extend a thank you to Mrs. Boley and Mrs. Carter who were in charge of Community Day. It is a huge undertaking!

I also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the community members who helped make this day possible.
